Adelaide United host Brisbane Roar on Saturday at 4.00pm (AEST). The Reds will be confident of registering a win against the inconsistent Roar after notching up a convincing 3-1 victory against an inform Melbourne Heart outfit. The Roar overcame a two goal deficit in Perth on Wednesday to take the lead before a late penalty to the Glory squared the match 3-3.
Brisbane and Adelaide have met on thirty one occasions with United having the upper hand on the ledger with fourteen wins while ten of the matches between the two clubs have ended in a draw . The last time they met was in Week 4 of competition with the Roar handing out a 7-1 demolition thanks to a four-goal-bag from Albanian striker Besart Berisha.
The second match of the double header sees a struggling Melbourne Victory up against Newcastle Jets from AAMI Park. The Victory are coming off the back of a string of losses including a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the top placed Central Coast Mariners on Wednesday now sitting them in third last position on the competition ladder. The Jets managed to secure a 3-2 win against Gold Coast in their Big Wednesday clash and will be hoping for a repeat of their last performance against the Victory when they registered a convincing 3-1 win.
