A good day in the office for central Melbourne workers

Monday 23 January, 2012 - It’s been a good day in the office for a group of workers in central Melbourne, after finding out their workplace TattsLotto syndicate won a division one prize worth $702,093.56 on Saturday night.

The syndicate leader explained that the prize money will be shared equally among the fifteen shareholders.

“This syndicate has been in place for more than 20 years, and has a loyal following within the company,” she explained.

“The 15 of us contribute two dollars to our TattsLotto fund every week, which buys us a System 8 entry and two System 7 entries – all of them QuickPicks.

“We always buy our tickets from Central Park Newsagency in Malvern East as the staff there are so lovely.

“We won on the last game on our entry, which was the second of the System 7 entries.

“As you can imagine there’s a lot of excitement in the office this morning with fifteen of us starting the week $46,806.24 better off!”

When asked how each of the shareholders planned to use their share of the division one prize money, the syndicate leader said it was a bit too soon to say, but she was certain everyone would put the money to good use.

Central Park Newsagency co-owner Peter Lavender said he was ecstatic to have sold a division one winning TattsLotto ticket to a regular customer.

“It’s been wonderful to share in her success and excitement,” he said.

“We hope that the good luck continues for our customers.”

There were six division one winners nationally in TattsLotto draw 3183 on Saturday 21 January 2012.

There were two division one winners in Victoria and one each in Tasmania, Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia.

The winning numbers were 9, 14, 22, 31, 33 and 2 with supplementaries 30 and 12.
