Following their comprehensive 35 point win over the Denver Broncos last weekend, Tom Brady’s New England Patriots  are on the verge of a fifth AFC Championship title in eleven seasons when they face the Baltimore Ravens .

The Patriots earnt a week off in the opening round of the playoffs by finishing in top spot in the division during the regular season but showed no signs of rustiness against the Broncos last week, with Brady throwing an astonishing six touchdown passes. How he fares against the Ravens feared defensive unit will have a huge bearing on the outcome of this match.

Baltimore was made to fight much harder for their win last week, being pushed hard by the Texans before triumphing 20-13. Their offense was slow at times and they will have to improve that area of their game if they are to threat New England. Quarterback Joe Flacco came in for some criticism following that match and has a point to prove in direct opposition to the best in the business.

New England has won all six regular season matches against the Ravens, but Baltimore triumphed the only time that the teams have met in the playoffs. That was two seasons ago, when the Ravens won 33-14.
