After losing their opening three matches of the competition, it is do-or-die for the Brisbane Heat  when they host the Adelaide Strikers  at the Gabba on Tuesday night. Captain James Hopes  is set to return from a knee injury that kept him on the sidelines for his sides past two fixtures, while Ryan Harris should be available after missing the final XI for the 2nd Test against India. South African import Roelof van der Merwe  will line up for his first ‘home’ game in Brisbane and the hosts will undoubtedly want to see some trademark aggression from him after lacking ‘aggro’ so far in the competition.

Adelaide started the competition very impressively, registering an effortless victory against the Renegades but it has been all downhill since then. Back to back defeats have left them in the bottom half of the table and they will also be desperate for a win. Last season’s leading competition runscorer Daniel Harris  is likely to return after injury to form a dangerous opening partnership  with Michael Klinger .
