The horse that has been dubbed ‘Australia’s worst racehorse’ will try and win for the first time when he races in race five at Gawler
today. ‘Vote For Lust’
has had 83 career starts without ever passing the post first, although he has finished second five times and third on a further five occasions. The nine year old, who is trained by John Castleman in Mildura, finished sixth of seven runners at Horsham at his most recent start, on December 18. Although he has never raced at Gawler before, he has raced over the 1500m trip six times for a second and a third.
