The Sydney Sixers welcome Australian Test stars Brad Haddin and Mitchell Starc back into the fold for their top four clash with the Perth Scorchers at the SCG. Both teams are already safely through to this weekend’s semi-finals but will be looking to go in to the knockout phase of the competition with good momentum. Haddin will form a powerful opening partnership with Michael Lumb at the top of the order, while they also possess a potent attack with the likes of Starc, Brett Lee and Steve O’Keefe.
The Scorchers are on the top of the ladder with five straight wins after losing their opening match against the Hurricanes. Powerful opener Shaun Marsh returns from Test duty for the match and Perth will be hoping that he can reproduce the form that saw him propel them to an eight wicket win over the Renegades with 99* in his only appearance for them.
In the day’s earlier match, the Hobart Hurricanes will be looking to reverse a worrying slide that has seem them lose their past two matches against the Melbourne Renegades . Although they are already of the competition the Renegades will want to go out with a bang, although they will have to do so without key allrounder Glenn Maxwell, who is out of action with a knee injury he suffered in last week’s loss to the Brisbane Heat.
