Noble Park grandmother shares TattsLotto win with daughter

Monday 16 January, 2012 - The week has started very well for a Noble Park grandmother and her daughter, after their shared TattsLotto entry won $432,850.25 on Saturday night.

The grandmother explained that she was watching the televised draw on Saturday night and saw her numbers drop from the draw machine.

“My daughter and I have been playing the same eight numbers in TattsLotto for many years, so when I saw the numbers drop, one by one, from the draw machine, I immediately recognised them as ours,” she said.

“I was surprisingly calm. I must have been in a state of shock!

“I called my daughter and said – you won’t believe it but all six of our numbers just came up in TattsLotto!

“She didn’t believe it was true until she looked up the draw results online and saw it with her own eyes.”

When asked how the pair plan to use their prize money, the grandmother said the windfall would make a big difference to both her and her daughter’s lives.

“I am in desperate need of a new car so that’s the first thing I will be buying,” the grandmother said.

“I’ll also be able to arrange some much needed repairs to our home and take my husband on an overseas holiday.

“As for my daughter, she’ll use her half of the prize money to pay off the mortgage.

“I’ve always said to my children that if you win enough on TattsLotto to pay off the mortgage then you should be very happy. You don’t need anything more than that.

“It’s best not to be greedy.”

The pair purchased their winning System 8 entry from Endeavour Lotto in the Endeavour Hills Shopping Centre.

A Narre Warren woman also won a division one prize worth $432,850.25 in TattsLotto on Saturday with a System 8 entry purchased from Parkhill Berwick News & Lotto in Berwick.

She plans to use the prize money to pay off her mortgage.

There were ten division one winners nationally in TattsLotto draw 3181. There were three division one winners in Victoria, four in Queensland and three in Western Australia.

The winning numbers were 19, 28, 13, 18, 23 and 16 with supplementaries 37 and 8.
