Tour Down Under

The Tour Down Under starts in South Australia tomorrow, with plenty of attention surrounding Australia’s new professional cycling team GreenEdge, who will be making their World Tour debut in the event. They are represented by last year’s winner Cameron Meyer , as well as previous winners Simon Gerrans  and Stuart O’Grady .

German sprint star Andre Greipel  tuned up for the six day race with a win in the Down Under Classic, and as a two-time winner of the main event, will have his supporters. European stars Edvald Boassen Hagen , Jose Joaquin Rojas  and Alejandro Valverde  also look to have strong claims, while Spaniard Luis Leon Sanchez  won the won the event in 2005.
