Mum’s always right in the end!

Thursday 12 January, 2012 - A Frankston family has reason to celebrate this week, after their family TattsLotto syndicate won a division one prize worth $838,482.62 on Saturday night.

The syndicate leader explained that the prize money would be shared equally among the four shareholders.

“The four of us have been taking a shared TattsLotto entry together every week for many years,” she said.

“We each contribute $10 every five weeks or so, which buys us a 12 game QuickPick in every draw.

“Sometimes when I ask my family for their $10 contribution, they are a little sceptical about our chances, but I’ve always said that if we stuck with it, we would win big one day.

“It turns out I was right!”

When asked how each of the shareholders plans to use their share of the division one prize money, the syndicate leader said they were still weighing up their options, but was certain everyone would put their $209,620.65 share to good use.

The family purchased their winning 12 game QuickPick from Ballarto News & Lotto in Carrum Downs.

The Frankston family was one of two family syndicates in Victoria that won a division one TattsLotto prize on Saturday.

The other family syndicate won $861,167.12 in prize money, which will be shared equally among the seven shareholders, who span three generations.

They purchased their winning System 9 entry from Hastings Gold Mine in Hastings.

There were five division one winners nationally in TattsLotto draw 3179. In addition to the two Victorian winners, there were two in New South Wales and one in Western Australia.

The winning numbers were 29, 33, 30, 44, 45 and 19 with supplementaries 6 and 13.
