Daniela Hantuchova  and Petra Kvitova  square off in the first of tonight’s two APIA International quarter-finals in Sydney. Australian Open favourite Kvitova battled to a three set win  against unknown Swede Alexandra Dulgheru in her last match, while the Slovakian accounted for Francesca Schiavone in straight sets . The pair met three times in 2011 with world number two Kvitova triumphing in straight sets on each occasion.

Top seed and world number one Caroline Wozniacki  locks horns with Agnieszka Radwanska  from Poland in tonight’s other quarter-final. The Dane has won the past five meeting between the pair, including two last year. She dropped a set in the last round before advancing to this stage, while Radwanska has dropped just eleven games in her two matches in the tournament so far.
