Sunday 1 January, 2012 - It is a very happy New Year for the 32 players around the country who shared last night’s $31 million New Year’s Eve Megadraw division one prize pool, each winning aprize worth $968,750.00.
One of 32 winning tickets was sold in Hobart. The unregistered division one winning entry was purchased from Winnings News and Lotto.
Tatts Public Relations Manager Elissa Lewis said scoring a win in the $31 million Megadraw was a great way for Tasmania to start the New Year.
“Unfortunately last night’s winning ticket was not registered to a Tatts Card so we have no way of contacting the winner to tell them the great news,” she said.
“It’s possible the winner is walking around with the equivalent of $968,750.00 in cash in their wallet or handbag, completely unaware of their good fortune.
“If you purchased a ticket in last night’s $31 million Megadraw from Winnings News and Lotto in Hobart, keep it in a safe place and have it checked at a Tatts outlet or online at tattersalls.com as soon as possible.
“You could be starting 2012 $968,750.00 richer!”
Tasmania had nine players scoring a division one prize across all Tatts products in the 12 months to 1 December 2011, equating to more than $10 million in division one prize money!
There were 32 division one winning entries nationally in last night’s TattsLotto Megadraw. There were eight division one winners in Queensland, ten in Western Australia, five each in New South Wales and Victoria, three in South Australia and one in Tasmania.
The winning numbers were 7, 8, 28, 33, 38 and 41. The supplementary numbers were 4 and 37.
