Tuesday 7 May, 2013 - A Grandmother from the Northern suburbs was in disbelief after being told she’d won a share in division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw!
The pensioner had trouble comprehending that she was $832,287.31 richer after winning first division and other divisional prizes on Saturday night.
“Oh my! I just can’t believe it,” the stunned winner said.
“I’ve been playing those numbers for years and years. I’ve only ever had one big win with them, which was around $1,000, and I thought that was wonderful!”
While the shocked Grandmother said she didn’t know what she’ll do with the money, her daughter added that the windfall will mean she can relax and enjoy life.
“There are a lot of things she’d like to do but it’s just not possible on the pension. Now she can do it all!” the winner’s daughter exclaimed.
The winning registered ticket was purchased at Claremont Newsagency, 29 Main Road in Claremont.
Throughout Australia, there were five entries that won a first division share of TattsLotto’s estimated $4 million division one prize pool, each worth $832,269.66. There were two winning entries sold in Tasmania, and one each in Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3317 on 4 May 2013 were 12, 35, 30, 2, 13 and 20 with the supplementary numbers 7 and 1.
