new site process

This process is applicable if you are interested in applying to become a Tatts Franchisee in relation to a new Tatts Outlet.

1. Is being a Tatts Franchisee right for you?
   Read the Selection Criteria to determine whether you have the qualities necessary to become a Tatts Franchisee.
2. Have you found a proposed New Site or do you have an existing business that is suitable?
   Read the Selection Criteria to determine whether your current business or proposed site is suitable for Tatts Lotteries. If your proposed site is leased, obtain a Letter of Offer from the Landlord that is subject to Tatts approval.
3. Expression of Interest
   To obtain copies of required forms please contact the Tatts Retail Franchise Coordinator on (07) 3877 1095.
4. Assessment of the Site
   Tatts performs an assessment of the site you are applying for. It is at this stage we assess the demand for a new site in this area and may also complete an applicant interview. This stage can take up to 8 weeks.
5. Conditional Approval
   If the site assessment is successful the applicant will receive conditional approval and will receive a hard copy of their Franchise Agreement, Disclosure Document and ancillary documentation. You will also receive confirmation of training dates as well as the Tatts Retail Image Team contact details.
6. Training
   You will be invited to attend our Tatts Franchisee Induction Training. This comprises of one week (5 days) in Tatts Head Office on St Kilda Road, Melbourne, followed by one week (6 days) at an Endorsed Training Outlet.
7. Final Approval
   If training is successfully completed by all required applicants and the Shop fit has been approved by the Retail Image Team, Tatts will issue a Final Approval letter confirming the anticipated settlement date as well as all documentation required to be completed and returned prior to settlement.
8. Settlement
   Once settlement has taken place you are now a Tatts Franchisee.
