Powerball guarantees a minimum division one prize pool of $3 million every Thursday and can jackpot to $50 million or more, Powerball could give you the power to change it all.
Playing the new Powerball is easy! 6 balls are drawn from 40 balls numbered 1 to 40 from the first barrel and 1 Powerball is drawn from 20 balls numbered 1 to 20 from the second barrel.
Powerball is drawn Thursday nights and is broadcast at approximately 8:45pm on Channel Seven, and affiliated regional stations (check your local TV guide).

grab a QuickPick
QuickPick Entries are perfect if you are in a rush or playing lotto for the first time because your numbers are generated at random for you. QuickPick Entries are available in the following sizes:
- REGULAR QuickPick - 12 Games
- SUPER QuickPick - 18 Games
- MEGA QuickPick - 24 Games
- JUMBO QuickPick - 36 Games
- MAXI QuickPick - 50 Games

If you've got numbers that are really special to you they could mean more to you when you play Powerball. Just follow these simple steps:
- Grab a Powerball coupon at your local Tatts Outlet or select your numbers when you buy Powerball online
- Mark 6 numbers in the first panel + 1 number in the Powerball panel*
- Play 4 - 18 game panels
* The numbers in the second game panel are circled to indicate the Powerball panel.
System entries
A System Entry gives you the option to play more numbers per game for a greater chance to win. For example, to win Division 1 in Powerball, you need all six winning numbers plus the Powerball. To increase your chances of winning, you could play a System 9 which means you get to choose nine numbers for that game rather than the usual six (plus the Powerball) which is equivalent to 84 standard games. Just follow these simple steps:
- Grab a Powerball coupon at your local Tatts Outlet or select your numbers when you buy Powerball online
- Mark 7 - 20 numbers in each game panel (e.g mark 9 numbers for a System 9 Entry etc)
- Play 1 - 50* games on a QuickPick
- Play 1 - 18 games on a marked coupon
- Mark 1 number in the Powerball panel. Powerball panel is indicated by the circles.
- Mark the "System/Pick" check box on your coupon or select this option when you buy Powerball online
* Powerball System 7 QuickPick Entries: minimum 2 game panels.
Pick entries
Play a Pick Entry and you can guarantee yourself either one or two of the winning numbers required to win that game. You can play a Pick Entry with your favourite numbers on a marked coupon or as a QuickPick Entry.
For example, if you play a Pick 5 Entry for Powerball, you are guaranteed one out of the six winning numbers, and you only have to pick the remaining five winning numbers in that game panel plus the Powerball.
- Grab a Powerball coupon at your local Tatts Outlet or select your numbers when you buy Powerball online
- For a Pick 4 Entry - mark 4 numbers in each game panel plus one Powerball number (gives you 2 out of the 6 winning numbers)
- For a Pick 5 Entry - mark 5 numbers in each game panel plus one Powerball number (gives you 1 out of the 6 winning numbers)
- For a QuickPick entry play 1 - 50 games, or
- For a marked coupon play 1 - 18 games
- Mark the "System/Pick" check box on your coupon or select this option when you buy Powerball online
play a PowerHit entry
Playing a PowerHit Entry guarantees you the winning Powerball number.
So with a PowerHit, to win first division, you just need to match the first six winning numbers! A PowerHit40 QuickPick entry is equivalent to 40 standard Powerball games.
You can play a PowerHit entry with your favourite numbers on a marked coupon, as a QuickPick or as a System entry.
- Grab a Powerball coupon at your local Tatts Outlet or select your numbers when you buy Powerball online
- For a marked PowerHit entry select 6 numbers in the first panel (you can play up to 18 standard PowerHit games on a marked entry)
- For a PowerHit QuickPick entry, you can play 1 - 50 games
- Mark the "PowerHit" check box on your coupon or select this option when you buy Powerball online
play a PowerHit System entry
Combine the benefits of a PowerHit Entry to create a PowerHit System Entry and give yourself more chances to win!
You can play a PowerHit System entry with your favourite numbers on a marked coupon or as a QuickPick entry.
- Grab a Powerball coupon at your local Tatts Outlet or select your numbers when you buy Powerball online
- Ask for a PowerHit System QuickPick or mark 7 - 15 numbers in each game panel (e.g mark 9 numbers for a PowerHit System 9 Entry etc)
- For a marked PowerHit System entry, you can play 1 - 18 game panels
- For a PowerHit System QuickPick entry, you can play 1 - 50 games
- To play a PowerHit System mark both the "System/Pick" and "PowerHit" check boxes on your coupon or select these options when you buy Powerball online
TopUp
When playing a Standard, System or Pick Entry, if you have marked only a few game panels and want to play a bigger entry, all you have to do
is ask for a TopUp! The remaining game panels are randomly generated for you as standard games up to 12, 18, 24, 36 or 50 games. Just let your Retailer know how many games you want to top up to or, if you are purchasing online, you can select the 'QuickPick row' or 'QuickPick un-filled games' options to TopUp a Standard, System or Pick Entry.
Multi-week entries
Going on holidays? Out of town for work? If you're away and don't want to miss getting your entry in, grab a Multi-week entry! It allows you to play the same numbers in your favourite game for 2 to 10 weeks at a time.
Advance entries
Got your eye on a special draw coming up? Maybe you've got a good feeling about a TattsLotto Superdraw? Entries for specific draws are
available up to 10 weeks prior to any lotto draw date so why not buy early to avoid the rush.
play a Favourite
Tatts Card members can store up to 50 sets of favourite games and numbers on their Tatts Card. Just present your card at your local Tatts Outlet and ask to play a Favourite. You can record any marked coupon or QuickPick entry as a favourite, or as an online member you can save Favourites when buying lotto online. That means you can play your Favourites anytime!
