how to claim prizes
Having a win of any amount is an exciting event and, for some lucky players it can be life changing. Prize values can range from a few dollars to a few million dollars so there are a number of ways to claim your prize.
claiming prizes in person
For Tatts Card members it's easy to check if you've won a prize. Have your card scanned in-store at a Tatts Outlet and the lottery terminal will let you know if you have any unclaimed prizes.
All prizes less than $1,500 can be claimed at any Tatts Outlet and prizes less than $200 can also be claimed at Tatts Quick Outlets (7-Eleven) by presenting your winning ticket. If you have unclaimed prizes registered to your Tatts Card and forget to claim a prize we'll automatically send you a prize cheque four weeks after the draw^.
Tatts outlets
Prizes less than $1,500 may be claimed at any Tatts Outlet in Victoria, Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory or the Northern Territory regardless of where the entry was originally purchased.
Tatts Quick outlets
Prizes less than $200 may also be claimed at Tatts Quick Outlets (7-Eleven) in Victoria.
Claiming from Tatts Prize Payments Department
All prizes $1,500 and over can be claimed within six months of the draw from the Prize Payments Department at Tattersall's House, 615 St. Kilda Road, Melbourne, Victoria 3004.
These prizes will be paid by cheque, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), cash, or a combination of these methods subject to restrictions based on the value of the prize/s.
To collect your prize in person at Tatts you will need:
- The original Lottery Ticket and
- Identification such as a Drivers Licence or Passport.
- For registered tickets, the Tatts Card to which the ticket is registered.
Claiming from Tatts outlets
- PRIZES $1,500 - $4,000: At their discretion, Tatts Outlets may pay prizes $1,500 - $4,000 immediately or make alternative arrangements for payment.
- PRIZES OVER $4,000: At their discretion, Tatts Outlets may pay prizes over $4,000 (with the exception of first division prizes) after obtaining authorisation from Tatts.
- NOTE: Tatts Quick Outlets are unable to pay prizes $200 and over.
Prize moneys remaining unclaimed for six months after the draw date are forwarded to the State Revenue Office.
To make a claim write your name and address on the back of the original ticket and send the ticket to:

Residents of Tasmania, the Australian Capital Territory or the Northern Territory should contact Tatts Customer Service for the appropriate address for their jurisdiction.
If claiming all or part of a prize from a winning Lottery Ticket which is registered to a Tatts Card on someone else's behalf, you may also need a signed letter of authorisation and signature identification for the claimant and the registered player(s).
first division prizes
First division prizes are available for payment from the first business day two weeks following the draw. All lower division prizes are available the next day.*
claiming prizes by mail
Download and complete the Prize Claim Form and include this in an envelope together with the ORIGINAL winning Lottery Tickets, remembering to keep copies for your own records. Secure the Prize Claim Form and your ORIGINAL winning Lottery Tickets in an envelope, affix a postage stamp and post to the address below.Your prize payment will be processed and paid within 10 working days of receipt of your claim form by Tatts, or after necessary waiting periods as listed.

lost lottery tickets
Please be careful with your Lottery Ticket because it is a bearer document and if it is stolen or you lose it, someone else could claim the prize.
If your Lottery Ticket is not registered to a Tatts Card, complete a Lost Damaged Ticket Search Form which may assist us to locate your Entry in our lottery system.
However, please note that Tatts is not required to pay prizes in respect of unregistered Lottery Tickets that cannot be produced for prize verification, and as such clear and irrefutable evidence satisfactory to Tatts will be required before Tatts will exercise its discretion to pay a prize on an Entry that is the subject of a lost Lottery Ticket claim.

Tatts Card members - lost registered lottery tickets
If you are a Tatts Card member and you lose your Lottery Ticket registered to your Tatts Card, you should contact us. Once we verify your identity we can arrange to "Protect" your Lottery Ticket. A Tatts representative will then advise you of your payment options for collection of your current or future wins.
