Glenn O’Shea , who won the
Men’s Omnium at the 2012 Cycling World Championships in Melbourne earlier in the year, will be bidding for the Olympic title on day nine of the 2012 Olympics. The Omnium consists of six separate events at the velodrome, with riders accumulating points across each of them. Day two of the competition takes in the 4km individual pursuit, 15km scratch race and 1km time trial.
On a day where Australia’s medal chances look thin on the ground, there is sure to be some interest in the
Women’s 3m Springboard diving final, with Sharleen Stratton has recorded the fifth highest score in the preliminary round.
