Wednesday 1 August, 2012 - A Petrie family doesn’t know what to do with themselves after discovering they’d won the entire $10 million division one prize pool in last night’s Oz Lotto draw!
The winning grandfather was shaking as he spoke about the big decisions he has to make now that he’s a multi-millionaire.
“The biggest decision right now is whether I should go into work tomorrow!” he exclaimed.
The hard-working man said he and his family will appreciate the prize of $10,000,019.40 after struggling financially.
“My daughter says I bust my chops working too hard,” the winning man said.
“I would have been happy with just the $19.40 at the end of that prize because I’m flat broke right now. This money will really change a few things.
“First off I’ll buy a house – probably a couple of houses – and I’ll have to buy a car because I don’t have one at the moment.”
The generous winner said his whole family will benefit from his good fortune.
“The biggest thing in my life are my kids,” he said.
“I want to be able to set them up for life.”
The man purchased his winning QuickPick from Petrie Newsagency, Shop 7A at Petrie Shopping Village on Dayboro Road.
The family was the sole winner of Oz Lotto draw 963 on 31 July 2012. The winning numbers were 14, 20, 1, 17, 19, 8 and 5 with supplementaries 18 and 2.
