The Roosters will hope to end a recent run of bad form when the face the Bulldogs at Allianz Stadium on Monday night. The Roosters have lost four of their past five games and warning alarm bells are ringing for the Brian Smith coached outfit. The Bulldogs too have had their fair share of form issues failing to record back-to-back wins since round two. The Bulldogs will be boosted by the signing of Krisnan Inu earlier in the week after their backline stocks were further depleted during the week following an elbow injury to Luke MacDougall.
History – These two teams have met an astonishing 158 times and there still isn’t much separating the clubs with the Roosters winning 78, Bulldogs 75 and 5 draws. The last game between the two clubs ended was played in flamboyant fashion in a high scoring affair with the Roosters claiming the spoils 32-28. If the Bulldogs are to win they will have to snap a six year losing streak against the Roosters at Allianz Stadium, (Sydney Football Stadium).
Dangermen – Roosters young gun Tautau Moga has burst onto the NRL this season after tearing apart the Toyota Cup competition last season. Returning from representative duties, Bulldogs centre Josh Morris is having a stellar 2012 and will look to add to his tally of nine tries for the season.
Prediction – Both teams are yet to hit their straps for 2012. The Roosters have been very disappointing failing to win 50/50 contests and close games. Expect the Bulldogs to assert their dominance early and record a big win over the struggling chooks. Bulldogs 13+ .
