Betting made easy for 'once a year' punters

The Betting Wizard allows you to pick your runners by clicking on a set of tick boxes next to each horse in the field. You can then choose to include those picks in pre-set packages which might include a Quinella, Trifecta or First Four, or you can build your own custom bet.
Tatts.com customers can also download their free TattsBet app for an iPhone or Android from the App store to bet on the Cup. For punters familiar with the Tatts.com website, you can also bet on the race through our usual Racing page. Whilst you can open an account and place a bet on the day, we encourage punters to get in early and avoid the last minute rush.
Customers in Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory can also place a bet at any one of our TAB outlets. To avoid confusion, there are three special Melbourne Cup tickets; one each for Win/Place, Trifecta and First4. Special ‘How to Bet’ information will be available in TABs. Betting interest on the Cup
Cup day is by far and away the busiest day of the year for TattsBet with ‘all hands on deck’ at over 1200 retail outlets and four telephone betting centres across Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory.
Australians bet $150M on the Cup through Australian TAB’s last year. When additional betting on the supporting race programs was included, total betting Australia wide on Cup Day was more than $200M. TattsBet punters invested $40M on the Cup and more than $55M on all races on the day.
Queenslanders invested $30M on the Cup race last year and betting on all racing by Queenslanders with TattsBet on Cup day was $45M.
