A Loganholme woman was in a state of utter disbelief when she discovered that she had won $5,000 in Golden Casket’s Winners Circle Bonus Draw.
Monday 6 May, 2013 - A Loganholme woman was in a state of utter disbelief when she discovered that she had won $5,000 in Golden Casket’s Winners Circle Bonus Draw.
The regular lotto player told Golden Casket that previous practical jokes played by friends made it hard for her to believe that she had actually won.
“When I got the call, I was pretty sceptical. I thought it was just another joke from one of my friends,” she explained.
“Once I realised that it was the real thing, I was just so excited!”
The local said that the win came at the perfect time.
“I am just so grateful, the timing for this couldn’t have been better,” she said.
The woman doesn’t have any immediate plans for her windfall but will pay some of her bills and add to her savings.
“I think I’ll just let it sit in the bank for a while. At least until I feel financially secure enough to spend it,” she said.
Every week, four Winners Circle card members each receive $5,000 simply for purchasing Golden Casket products using their card. All registered Golden Casket players automatically receive one entry into the weekly bonus draw for every dollar they spend using their Winners Circle card.
