Sixty per cent of Instant Scratch-Its sales are returned to the player prize pool.

New tickets are introduced approximately every 12 weeks.

A game is on sale for approximately 12 weeks. When one game closes, another commences.

Under section 129 of the Lotteries Act (1997) all Instant Scratch-Its prizes must be claimed within 7 years after closure of the game.

As with all Golden Casket products, Instant Scratch-Its prizes are tax free.

If your ticket is more than 12 months old, simply complete the Player Prize Claim form and enclose the ORIGINAL winning Instant Scratch-Its tickets (complete your name, address and signature on the back of the winning ticket), remembering to keep copies for your own records. Affix a postage stamp and mail to:

Alternatively, you may claim the prize in person at Golden Casket Lottery Corporation, 87 Ipswich Road, Woolloongabba, Brisbane, Queensland 4102. If your ticket is less than 12 months old follow the regular prize claim procedures.

The remaining portion of the prize which has not yet been paid to the winner shall be paid in a lump sum to his or her estate.

Gift envelopes are available for free at all Golden Casket Outlets.

There are several ways to collect your Instant Scratch-Its prize:

Prizes less than $1,500 may be claimed at any Golden Casket Outlet that sells Instant Scratch-Its tickets.

Prizes $1,500 and over may be claimed in person at Golden Casket Lottery Corporation, 87 Ipswich Road, Woolloongabba, Brisbane, Queensland 4102. These prizes will be paid by cheque or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). To collect your prize in person at Golden Casket, you will need:

• The original Instant Scratch-Its ticket; and
• Signature identification such as a Drivers Licence or Passport

Please remember to complete your name, address and signature on the back of winning Instant Scratch-Its tickets. All Instant Scratch-Its tickets are treated as the property of the person holding them.

To claim an Instant Scratch-Its prize by mail, simply complete the Player Prize Claim form and enclose the ORIGINAL winning Instant Scratch-Its tickets (complete your name, address and signature on the back of the winning ticket), remembering to keep copies for your own records. Affix a postage stamp and mail to:

Alternatively, you can pick up a Player Prize Claim form at your local Golden Casket Outlet and complete by following the same steps as above. Your prize payment should be processed and paid within 10 working days of receipt of your claim form by Golden Casket, or after necessary waiting periods as listed.
